Hi! My name is Andy, and I am the founder of Hikrlife! 🙂 My wife and I started this organization in 2016 to share our experiences and knowledge about hiking in Utah. WE LOVE UTAH! We also love the warm welcome we have recieved in the hiking community.
Plans For Hikrlife
We will be posting hike reviews, our camping adventures, products we love (or don’t love), and all other related or requested topics! We’d love feedback so please comment on our blogs and social media about what you like, dislike, want more of, etc. We also have a page that recommends some of our favorite hikes here in Utah. We have a strong belief that hiking heals souls, and believe society would benefit from an increased dose of the great outdoors.
Also, here is a picture of us 🙂
I have to say, Sadie is definitely the cuter one out of the two of us!
Let me introduce myself.
I am a student at Brigham Young University. I have recently switched my major from Mechanical Engineering to Information Systems; lets just say engineering wasn’t for me after all. I love the outdoors, music, and secretly wish I could become a professional hobby collector. I am interested in about everything under the sun. I love learning about people and their life interests and passions.
I found a strong connection to nature and my desire to spend time outdoors when I was in the scouting program. Since then, I have been slowly increasing my experiences in hiking and camping, and have recently gotten into hammock camping…which will be blogged about in the future :). All I have to say for now is hammock camping is loads of fun, but it is even more fun when you have a Tentsile!
Sadie is also a student at Brigham Young University, and she is studying News Media, emphasis Broadcast Journalism. She’s grown up playing outdoors and riding horses. She currently also has her own blog, sadie-lauren.com, where she writes about her favorite recipes, our adventures, and her perspective about the world today. Sadie struggles with anxiety, but everyday, she is learning to overcome her struggles with the best medication the world has to offer: the great outdoors.
Sadie dreams about owning her own TV show one day, and interviewing people about their passions, and how they overcome the struggles life has given them. Her favorite kind of hikes are the ones with waterfalls and streams. She hasn’t hiked Mount Timpanogos yet, but she hopes to do that in the near future.
